Why did you want to join Mr. Appliance?
It was because of the brand name recognition, the values of the organization and the support system. Being a part of the Mr. Appliance network gives me access to technical and business support. I can rely on other franchise owners for help if I need it because we’re not in competition with one another. We all benefit from each other’s success.
What’s your favorite part about being a Mr. Appliance franchise owner?
The technology and marketing support. There are some things I couldn’t afford to develop as an independent business owner. The mobile technology and business management software we all use at Mr. Appliance is made exactly for what we need. It allows us to communicate in the same way and trade ideas to streamline our businesses.
We also have a marketing and public relations department to help us reach the right customers. Finding these resources on my own would have taken me away from improving my business. With the support from the marketing department and its relationships with search engine and direct mail companies, marketing to my customers is much easier.
What has the technology done for your business?
It’s helped me focus on my marketing and customer service more. With the mobile service call management software packages offered through Mr. Appliance, I have more time to manage other areas of my business. It also helps with inventory management and pricing.
Being able to better manage my inventory has led to fewer call backs and second trips. Being more efficient has made a major impact on my bottom line.
How do you feel about the future of Mr. Appliance?
I feel very confident in the direction Mr. Appliance is headed. Even if the economy slows down, I believe my business will be in much better shape than the average independent appliance repair company. I have business and marketing support and the technology in place to help my business run much more efficiently than the average appliance repair company.
