Why did you choose to purchase a Rainbow International franchise?
I was a salesman for Frito Lay when I met Don Dwyer, founder of Rainbow International. He convinced me to follow my dream and go into business for myself. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
How has business changed over the years?
Technology and communications are faster than I could have ever imagined. When I had my first van, I never thought that I could communicate with technicians and customers in so many different ways. Rainbow International has kept ahead of the curve. They have continuously moved forward with the latest in dehumidifiers, drying equipment and carpet cleaning technology and techniques. They make it much easier for me to help customers get back into their homes after a flood or fire.
How is life since you became a Rainbow International franchise business owner?
A dream. At times it can get a bit hectic, but I know that I have help. I’m connected to more than 200 other franchise owners and the corporate office is always there to offer support. With all the new technology and the nature of the restoration business, it can be difficult to try and diagnose complex problems alone. I call on other franchise owners for advice and I also offer my experience to others in need. It is a great community at Rainbow International.
If I was on my own, marketing and managing my business would be very difficult. Rainbow International’s support staff connects me with the materials and training I need to grow my business.
