Mr. Rooter® Corporation’s New Facebook Game Makes Plumbing Fun

Waco, Texas (May 23, 2011) – There is nothing enjoyable about toilet clogs in real life, but Mr. Rooter Plumbing makes it fun online with its new interactive Facebook game.

Scout’s Game is about stopping Scout from flushing her toys down the toilet. Using a plunger, players try to prevent the toilet from getting clogged by hitting away toys with the click of the mouse.

But Scout’s Game is not just for kids.

“Our Mr. Rooter plumbers have recovered everything from toys to jewelry to dentures that were accidently flushed down the toilet,” said Fawn Barlow, marketing manager at Mr. Rooter Corporation. “We thought Scout’s Game would be an entertaining way to educate everyone from kids to grandparents on the importance of bathroom plumbing etiquette.”

Rubber ducks and inflatable toys can be fun in the tub, but if these items find their way into a toilet, a plumbing emergency can happen. Barlow, who is also a mother of a 2-year-old girl, says it’s important to teach children that toys do not belong in the toilet.

And thanks to Mr. Rooter Plumbing, parents can use Scout’s Game as a tool to teach this to children while having fun themselves. As the game progresses, the toys start flying faster.

To make the game even more interesting, there are also “powerups” that multiply the score, slow toys down or increase the time limit.
