VetFran Business Franchise Opportunities - Join the Leaders in Veterans Franchising
The Dwyer Group - Founders of VetFran
The Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran Program) was established by Don Dwyer, Sr., founder of The Dwyer Group soon after the Gulf War ended in 1991. The VetFran program is a voluntary effort of International Franchise Association (IFA) member companies to encourage franchise ownership by offering business franchise opportunities and financial incentives to honorably discharged veterans.
More than 400 franchisors currently participate in the program, and more than 1,700 veterans have taken advantage of the franchise business opportunities available through the program.
Operation Enduring Opportunity
On November 11, 2011, The Dwyer Group joined the IFA and First Lady Michelle Obama in Washington D.C. to announce the launch of Operation Enduring Opportunity, a campaign to hire or recruit as franchise owners 75,000 veterans and military spouses and 5,000 wounded warriors, by the end of 2014.
Our Mission
To become the leader in alliance with transitioning military personnel and current veterans; to help them achieve their dreams and goals by being in business for themselves.
The Dwyer Group is proud to offer a 25% discount on the initial base territory purchase and special vendor incentives for those who qualify.

"We decided to go with The Grounds Guys brand because we had always had a passion for landscaping, and it was a perfect fit. The Dwyer Group has the same values and beliefs we do and they have a genuine support and care for veterans. We are excited to be opening and proud to be a Disabled Veteran Owned Business." – Rebecca and Michael McMahon, owners of The Grounds Guys of Southlake
