WACO, Texas (Nov. 5, 2010)—The Dwyer Group’s Mr. Appliance has been listed in the 50 Top Franchises for Minorities by USA Today, out of over 400 others.

Each franchisor answered questions as to their participating minorities as well as the minority representation in senior management (defined as an annual salary exceeding $60,000). In order to rank, each franchisor must have a percentage of minority franchisees and managers that exceeds 50 percent.  

According to an article in the Nov. 5, 2010, USA Today, "Whereas minorities may have accounted for only 5 or 6 percent of total franchisees (and managers of company-owned units) in 2000, the consensus is that today they account for well in excess of 15 percent. This is quite a remarkable testament not only to the industry’s reaching out to minorities, but to the underlying values and entrepreneurial talents that minorities contribute."
