The Grounds Guys™ Award New Franchise in Tennessee

Waco, Texas (September 20, 2010) – The Grounds Guys is the newest service concept of The Dwyer Group®, and its focus is landscaping and lawn and garden management. The Grounds Guys are happy to announce a new franchise location in Cordova, Tennessee

The new owners of The Grounds Guys franchise are Fain and Sandra Dalton. With their children grown and moved out, they decided to make the 700 mile move from Raleigh, N.C. to Cordova in order to be closer to family, namely Sandra’s mother who lives with them now. Although they live in Cordova, they are operating the territory of Germantown.

With the help of The Dwyer Group®, Fain and Sandra made the transition from their previous jobs to The Grounds Guys, although neither had experience with landscaping or lawn care. Fain worked in garment manufacturing for 23 years and Sandra taught for the Wake county school system in Raleigh.

“We chose The Grounds Guys after researching for right at a year. Everyone knows there are a ton of them. We truly fell in love with the core values and the system of care for the customers.” After researching, they decided to take the next step and attend The Dwyer Group’s annual Reunion. There, they had the opportunity to meet current franchise owners and other prospective franchisees.

“It made a tremendous impact on us. We realized they truly lived by what they said. A lot of people have corporate values but very few live by them. When we saw they were really willing to live that way, we decided this was the opportunity we wanted to jump into and commit the rest of our lives to,” said Fain.

“We are very excited to have Fain and Sandra as part of The Grounds Guys family. Their entrepreneurial spirit combined with our proven franchise systems will give a strong presence in the Germantown market,” said Ron Madera, President of The Ground Guys.

The Dalton’s will not be opening until October 15, but have started the interview process. 

“We have been told, and seen the results when you follow the system; it will work.  You can’t go right into this for the money, but by the way you should treat people. The money will come after that. We strive for customer service and a nice maintained yard. We just want to make sure the customer is treated right,” said Sandra.
