The Grounds Guys™ Award New Franchise in Missouri
Waco, Texas (September 22, 2010) – The Grounds Guys, the newest service concept under The Dwyer Group®, is happy to announce a new franchise location in Independence, Missouri. They will manage the Lee’s Summit territory when they open in March of 2011. The new owners of The Grounds Guys franchise are Richard and Dawn Altis. Richard grew up locally in Missouri before joining the Navy in June of 1994. During the four years he served, he worked as an electrician on the U.S.S. Nimitz. His wife of six years, Dawn, is a surgical nurse for the local hospital. They have one child, Alex, who is two. Richard made the transition from the electrical service industry to landscaping and lawn management deliberately. “I was looking for a change. The way it’s been lately, there hasn’t been very much work for me. I found The Dwyer Group® and really believe in all that they believe in. I chose The Grounds Guys because they are the newest concept and I thought I could be the first in the area with one.” said Mr. Altis. “We are thrilled to have Richard & Dawn Altis on The Grounds Guys team. Richard is a Navy veteran and has managed other businesses for years. Those experiences combined with our franchise systems make a great combination.
